Australian Managed Investments Pty Ltd ACN 084 487 150 (AMI) is built upon the foundation established over 10 years by the well known law firm McDonald Balanda & Associates through its mortgage lending practice.

AMI was licensed as a Responsible Entity from the introduction of the Managed Investments Act in 1999 and provided its investor clients with the opportunity to invest funds in mortgage loan facilities.

With the introduction of the Financial Services Reform legislation in March 2004, AMI outsourced its mortgage management operations to La Trobe Capital & Management Limited and is now a sponsor company of the La Trobe Australian Mortgage Fund. This has enabled AMI to provide superior systems and reporting whilst maintaining its own loan approval criteria and assessment as well as the close investor relationships which have always been an integral part of our business.

AMI's Managing Director, Peter Harris is a former Queensland Manager of AMEV Finance Ltd. and AGC Industrial Ltd. With over 30 years experience in the Banking, Finance and Merchant Banking industry, for the large part in senior management, and lending roles in New South Wales and Queensland . Since 1992 he has specialised in the area of private mortgage finance and mortgage management. Peter is also a director a Harris Financial Pty Ltd.
